Safe and Respectful Training at RKD Karate

RKD Karate is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable training experience for all of its members. This is why the club has strict guidelines in place to ensure the safety of everyone who trains there. It is important that you understand the rules and follow the guidelines at all times.

Etiquette is also an important part of the training experience at RKD Karate. This includes following proper training attire, showing respect to instructors and fellow students, and observing the customs and traditions of karate. By following the rules and practicing good manners, you will not only maintain the safe training environment, but also enhance your overall training experience and the atmosphere of the club.

As a member, you will also be expected to maintain a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness while training, as well as follow any additional safety protocols set by the instructors. By observing the safety and etiquette rules, you will be able to train safely and enjoyably, and make the most out of your time at RKD Karate.

RKD Karate Etiquette

Rules of etiquette for RKD Karate:

1. Bow upon entering and leaving the dojo (training hall)

2. Address instructors and senior students with respect

3. Wear a clean and complete uniform

4. Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed

5. Train in a safe and controlled manner

6. Avoid distracting others during training

7. Follow instructions from instructors and senior students

8. Treat all equipment and facilities with care and respect

9. Refrain from using foul language or making inappropriate comments

10. Observe the proper procedures for sparring and competition.

RKD Karate Safety

Rules of safety for RKD Karate:

Warm up properly before each training session to prevent injury.

1. Wear the appropriate protective gear, such as a mouthguard and groin protection, during sparring and other high-contact activities.

2. Follow the instructions of your instructor and pay attention to their safety demonstrations.

3. Practice good hygiene, such as covering any cuts or abrasions and tying back long hair.

4. Report any injuries or accidents to your instructor immediately.

5. Do not engage in rough or dangerous play, or use excessive force during sparring or other training activities.

6. Do not engage in horseplay or other dangerous behavior that could put yourself or others at risk.

7. Respect the training equipment and facilities, and do not engage in behavior that could damage or deface the dojo or training equipment.

By following these rules and guidelines, students can ensure that they are participating in karate training in a safe and responsible manner.
